Sharing a lawn chair                                Somewhere Out There

Outside by the pool

Watching the big sky

Fade from dawn to dusk

Seeking out the stars

And making a game

Of which one could spot

The next star light first

And making a wish

Upon each new light

Until it was dark

Enough for the sky

To reveal that there

Were far too many

Stars for us to count

worms and coffee

The second one                                        banana pancakes

wakes to find

a coffee mug

set out by the first

such a simple task

to take down two

leaving it like a note

to let one know

that the other

is waiting for them

on the porch
