Outside by the pool

Watching the big sky

Fade from dawn to dusk

Seeking out the stars

And making a game

Of which one could spot

The next star light first

And making a wish

Upon each new light

Until it was dark

Enough for the sky

To reveal that there

Were far too many

Stars for us to count
